how will my learning be different?

I have fallen into the trap it seems many people learning Rust do. They start, get stuck, stop, go back to the start and never get past that. Watching this video and doing some other reading, I have tried to come up with some plans around how I will learn.

My aim will be that I stay consistent with my learning. Therefore all the resources I will be using below will be at times I don’t have another idea of what I want to build. I believe that no amount of guidance will replace staring at a blank IDE with notes on a sheet of paper, but between motivation striking it is good to keep the wheels turning. This is going to be far too much for a year, but having a set of projects I can pick and chose from of varying sizes should keep things interesting.

Structured Learning

This is where I aim to spend the least time. These are projects that are much larger and I don’t think I would know where to start. I do have some larger personal project aims and I think these would be a good way to get the knowledge to be able to better start that in the future.

Unstructured Learning

These projects are more prompts on what to do. Providing an aim, prompts or hints to get to an end goal. These will ideally be smaller and allow more exploration.

Personal Ideas with nothing yet

If nothing there interests me at all, I can always come back to practical tutorials and have a look through what is there. Maybe even some python machine learning!
