about me

I am Paul Tustain an Actuarial developer working that builds pricing models for specialty insurance. Whilst training I decided I wanted to move away from becoming an actuary and into data science so learnt Python and SQL. The more into development I got, the more I was interested in building real things with code. Through my journey I have used Go, R, Lua, JavaScript and a few extras for luck. Now I am learning Rust with the aim to build performant and memory safe back end systems. I have always been someone to jump between interesting things, so my aim now is to build some real projects. This page is going to be used to consolidate my learnings from projects, share what my projects are and outcomes, and practice communication of technical work.
All of my code can be found on my Codeberg page. For more career details, please see my LinkedIn page, or my CV.
